There's a small river nearby our house, we often walk along there.
From a bridge you can see grass growing on the riverbed.
It looks like combed by the water.
Do you know "The Grass Harp" by Truman Capote? If not, read it!
It's my absolutely favourite novel, so funny and deeply touching.
I read it about five or six times and it always blew my mind.

For the "Walking Man" I used watercolour and pencil.
Below a polaroid of lavender. The frame is nearly not
visible this time. Don't know why, cause I scanned
the pic with the same settings as the last ones.

The last days have been so sunny and beautiful (nights are quite cold
yet) with this fantastic warm light. So we've been a lot in the garden,
playing or just sitting there and drinking coffee.
Yesterday mav posted a link to minä perhonen. It's a long time that
I've seen such stunning clothes, wonderfully photographed as well.
Holiday find: a piece of aerated concrete. Abraded by the Sea it looks
like a porous pebble.

There was a theme night at the French/German TV station "arte" last
night about the unique actor and director Jacques Tati. Tomorrow,
October 9, would have been his 100. birthday.
I did love his films before, but now I think he was a real genius.
Saw a docu, that showed his working method, how he rehearsed
courses of movement with his actors until everything followed a
perfect choreography. Admirable his subtle handling of details and
hilarious sense of humour. Brilliant artist!

This is Frank (no alien, of course) working at the beehive. The bees
aren't as dangerous as it looks like, they are peaceful ones, a quite
young and small bee colony.
The plant above is called Sedum (bot.).
Don't know how I came across Kate T. Williamson. She makes very
nice illustrations.
A fantastic German puppet theatre is the figuren theater tuebingen.
I've seen their wonderful "Flamingo Bar" some time ago.
